Letsholonyane hungry for goals

Johannesburg - After an impressive start to the 2014/15 campaign, Kaizer Chiefs attacking midfielder Reneilwe Letsholonyane said he intends to score plenty of goals for the Phefeni Glamour Boys this season.

The former Jomo Cosmos player made a dream start to the season, managing to find the back of the net twice in all competitions.

“Beyonce” also heaped praise on his team-mates for displaying tremendous form in the opening stages of the season but said hard work lies ahead.

Letsholonyane believes Amakhosi are capable of doing far better than what they have done so far in both the Absa Premiership and the MTN8.

“I am happy with our form, but obviously am not yet satisfied,” said Letsholonyane.

“I believe we still have a room for improvement. But I am happy that I have been scoring goals for the team.

“First few games of the season, I managed to score two goals because I have been going to the box a lot. I just hope that I’ll continue with those runs and score more goals this season.”

The 32-year-old midfielder will be looking to keep the momentum flourishing when Chiefs take on holders, Platinum Stars, in their MTN8 semi-final first leg clash at the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace on Saturday night.

The match will commence at 20:15.
