Lekoelea: Pirates struggling at home

Cape Town - Buccaneers legend Steve Lekoelea says Orlando Pirates always play outstanding football in Africa but struggle to perform at home.

However, Lekoelea remains confident that they will beat their Tunisian counterparts on the weekend, but he hopes they will put in a more convincing performance in front of their home fans.

"They did very well when they first played against CS Sfaxien and they definitely will win again," said Lekoelea.

"They do well when they play in Africa than when they are at home.

"I really don’t know why but they should try to balance playing at home and elsewhere.

"They are really struggling at home. Perhaps they are not given enough freedom.

"Perhaps they are afraid of the supporters you know, they don’t want to make mistakes.”

Pirates plays against the Tunisian giants on Saturday, August 8 at Orlando Stadium.

Kick-off is at 20:15.
