Lefa confirms Swallows exit

Cape Town - Veteran midfielder LefaTsutsulupa has parted ways with Moroka Swallows after the two parties failed to agree on a way forward.

Tsutsulupa confirmed to Sport24 that he has not retired from football but instead parted ways with the Dube Birds after no consensus was met.

“We failed to agree on certain things with Swallows and decided to part way,” Tsutsulupa said.

“What I can tell you is that I’m no longer at Swallows and I’m weighing my options going forward.

The midfielder also confirmed that reports of him retiring are false.

“I would definitely do not want my career to end this way and I’m therefore looking for a club as I feel I can still play for a season or two,” Tsutsulupa said.

The dread-locked midfielder who started his PSL journey at Bloemfontein Celtic says that it's only if he fails to find a team for the new season that he will think of calling it a day on his career.

“If I decide to end my career, I will make an official announcement and at the moment I have not retired,” he said.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
