Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs midfielder George Lebese said he sees no reason why he can't match, or better, last season's rich vein of goal-scoring form under new coach Steve Komphela.
Amakhosi bid farewell to two-time Premiership title winner Stuart Baxter at the end of their double triumph last term, where Lebese finished in a three-way tie for the club's Golden Boot award with seven league goals.
Baxter has since been replaced by former Bafana Bafana and Maritzburg United coach Komphela, but Lebese does not believe the change in leadership will adversely effect his form in front of goal.
When asked if he though he could improve on last season's tally, Lebese told Football411: "I think it's possible I will be able to continue from where I left off last season under coach Stuart [Baxter].
"I just have to continue working hard and listen to the new coach like I listened to the former coach and take each game as it comes.
"The new coach left but it doesn't mean the hard work stops.
"I just have to continue doing what I was doing and continue making the right choices.
"I'm always keen to work hard and look to improve from what I did last season."
