Cape Town - AmaZulu coach Steve Barker revealed it will be touch and go whether defender Robyn Johannes is fit for their vital Premiership clash with AmaTuks.

Usuthu are already short at the back with Mbulelo Mabizela serving a suspension and Johannes is in a race against time to recover from the knock he received against SuperSport United.

"Robyn had a bit of a knock but we will take him with us and we will know on Wednesday if he has recovered fully," Barker told the club's website.

"If not I still think he will have an important role to play in our last game which could be our biggest match of the season."

AmaZulu will also be without midfielder Khulekani Madondo, who is banned for the tie.

"We have played some matches without them and yes they have a strong impact on the team," Barker conceded.

"On the other side maybe the rest they will get will help them come fresh when we play our last match.

"We must be strong and ready to fight all out. We must also make sure that we have strong players at the bench, shall things not go well but we are able to continue."

Usuthu are desperate for results in their final two fixtures as they fight against relegation from the Premiership.

The club is rooted to the bottom of the table, three points behind Moroka Swallows and five points from safety.

Kick-off is at 19:30.
