Cape Town - Bloemfontein Celtic coach Clinton Larsen says Tshegofatso Mabaso is starting to show signs of maturity.
The 18-year-old matriculated last year and is currently in his second season playing for the club’s first team.
According KickOff, Larsen admits that the player’s composure on the ball took him by surprise.
"He is only 18 years old. He only matriculated last year," says Larsen.
"This is his second season in the first team. He is starting to show signs of maturity and starting to feature in the first team.
"You saw the composure of someone who is 18 years and beat both Morgan Gould and Xulu to score that goal.
"I am happy with the progress he has shown so far."
Mabaso netted the only goal in the second half of the Macufe Cup against Kaizer Chiefs, helping Celtic claim bragging rights at the annual tournament.
