Larsen credits Celtic's transfer business

Cape Town - Clinton Larsen has credited Bloemfontein Celtic's outstanding transfer business for their blistering start to the 2015/16 PSL season.

Phunya Sele Sele brushed aside Maritzburg United 2-0 courtesy of Thapelo Morena and Musa Nyatama goals.

The victory pushed Celtic up to fifth place on the Absa Premiership standings following two victories, one defeat and a draw.

According to KickOff, Larsen admits that Celtic have been working hard behind the scenes to inject the club with players that have pace.

"We brought Helder Pelembe and Geoffrey Massa because we know their qualities; they are proven at international level,” said the club coach.

“For the past couple of seasons we have tried to inject some pace into the team. If you look at players we signed, like Wana [currently out injured], they will fit like a glove.

“The South African market has been blown out of proportion and we are not a club that forks out millions for a player. We got Massa for free and Wana as well – these are players that were leading lights at teams that were struggling last season… same with Pelembe: he was at [Pirates] where chances of playing were scarce.”
