Lane: Manyisa is important

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates legend Gavin Lane thinks that Oupa Manyisa has a considerable amount to think about, as his current arrangement with the club draws closer to its conclusion.

There have been reports that Manyisa would move to the big-spending Mamelodi Sundowns after his contract expired in June but Lane does not think it will be a simple decision to make, should the opportunity present itself.

“For me a it's a difficult situation. He's an important member of the team. He does well in defence as well as in the attack by scoring goals,” Lane said as quoted by

“But I think the club should not be held at ransom, if they can't reach an agreement with him during the negotiations.

“Football is a team sport. It's not about one player, but the whole team. Ultimately, I believe that every player is replaceable.”
