17:25 - That's it folks the derby has ended in a draw.

17:24 - It's end-to-end stuff here at Soccer City now, but both teams are failing to capitalise on their opportunites. We are into tghe last minute of stoppage time now.

17:23 - Chance for Parker but he's fluffed it, sending his shot wide of goal!

17:21 - Corner to Pirates now. Five minutes of stoppage time added.

17:20 - Subs: Dladla on for Lebese and Nkosi on for Tshabalala.

17:20 - Corner to Chiefs!

17:18 - Three minutes of the ninety left as Chiefs hold on to the ball and start an attck from the left. The cross in to Tshabalala doesn't produce anything though.

17:14 - Free-kick awarded to Pirates about 39m out on the right flank. It comes to nothing though as the resultant header from Klate is poor and fails to find any impact players.

17:12 - Pirates with some neat interplay on the left flank as the game looks to opening up a bit now. The crowd is still going crazy though, clearly wanting some more goals.

17:07 - TWEET:

'Referee & his assistants didn't see anything. So twitter tell us who started the brawl? Someone must have started it.' - Funzi Ngobeni (@Funzi_MaRzr)

17:02 - Sub: Majoro (IN) and Nkhatha (OUT)

16:59 - Klate ghosts in to sneak a header in at the far post but his header goes wide and is not nearly strong or accurate enough to trouble Khune.

16:58 - Ref now brandishes a yellow card on Gaxa, who is booked for a late tackle.

16:53 - Jali definitely very fortunate to get out of that one unscathed as the replay shows he was definitely involved in some foul play there. Possibly a reaction to being fouled by Katsande earlier??

16:50 - Wow! Shameful scenes of violence on the pitch at Soccer City as the ref loses control of the match and the players get involved in a huge brawl. No cards shown, but the ref is having a long chat with both teams now.

16:47 - De Sa is having a go at the ref after a blatant late challenge by Katsande on Jali, who seems to be cringing in pain on the ground now.

16:44 - Pirates show their opponents they have not gone to sleep as Bacela's shoots on target, but Khune tips the ball over.

16:43 - Great cross into the box by Tshabalala. Meyiwa comes out and makes a good save though. Chiefs are piling on some good pressure here.

16:40 - Chiefs are doing well in the opening five minutes here. They have been putting together a few great one twos as the Glamour Boys seek to score the second goal to edge ahead of their bitter rivals.

'Thanks to the 12th player of chiefs the Ref' - Geez Phakzela

16:36 - The match is underway. Chiefs get the second-half started, playing left to right as the hold on to some early possession.

Silencing the masses: Erasmus gestures to the crowd after scoring the opening goal for Orlando Pirates at Soccer City today.

16:19 - It's half-time at Soccer City. The teams go in the dressing room locked in it with one goal a piece.

16:17 - Chiefs fail to make good of a corner in the last 3 minutes of the half. They fail to capitalize as we now approach halftime. Two minutes stoppage time added.

16:13 - Well Chiefs get lucky and draw level now as the Amakhosi fans go into rapture in Soweto.  Offside or not, Chiefs are back in this one!

16:12 - Nkhatha scores! Somewhat ominously though, as replays show it may have been offside!

16:11 - GOAL!!!

16:10 - A chance at the other end goes begging for Chiefs now as they break through the middle of the Pirates defence via a splitting pass from Nkhatha to Tshabalala, but the ball is taken away before he shoot. Corner...

16:08 - Bacela has a go but his shot goes way over the bar after some scrappy play in midfield resulted in a half of a chance for Pirates. He could have done much done better there with some composure.

15:59 - Tshabalala gets the Amakhosi fans. His shot misses the goals by inches. Senzo was definitely beaten there!

15:54 - 21 minutes in and the Amakhosi faithful can be heard chanting for Nkhatha to be substituted. Pirates definitely are the more settled side at the moment, causing trouble from both sides.

15:51 - Klate now gets a chance to double the scoreline but his ball goes wide of goals after another attack from the left flank causes trouble for Chiefs.

15:49 - TWEET:

'What a goal. World class 1-0 Kermit.' - Peter Du Toit (@PeterLaduma)

15:46 - It's Chiefs' turn now to show some magic through Parker, whose neat touch helps him lose his defender on the flank, but the square pass to Nkhatha is poor and proves to be no threat to Pirates.

15:41 - The early pressure from Orlando Pirates has paid off as Erasmus bangs one in for the Buccaneers to take an early lead, side-footing the ball home from a cross after some neat passes between Klate and Matlaba, who gets credited with the assist.

15:41 - GOAL!!!!

15:39 -  Katsande has attracted the attention of the ref but no card shown as he cleanly wins the ball from Klate. Matlaba then drills a cross to Erasmus and Gould concedes a corner.

15:37 - Erasmus has a go for Pirates now, but his shot goes over the bar. It's all Buccaneers in this opening period.

15:35 - Mashamaite does some good defending and manages to block Bacela's shot and Khune comes out to make a comfortable save. Pirates looking to assert themselves early on here as Chiefs soak up the pressure.

15:31 - Players from both sides take their positions as Pirates get the match underway looking to attack Chiefs through the middle. Amakhosi win the ball back and form an attack of their own down the right flank. Fast-paced start to this clash of the Titans!

15:29 - This highly-anticipated Soweto Derby is about to get started. The players are now busy with a moment of silence for victims of a car accident which happened earlier this week.
