MATCH REPORT
Ajax and Sundowns played a very conservative 45 minutes when they kicked off things at 19:30. Tough and wet conditions favoured the Cape side as Sundowns could not hold onto the ball for long periods.
Eventually could pass a few balls around but Travis and Scott held things well in the middle of the park for Ajax with Dolly and Nathan Paulse clicking well in attack, although offence was minimal on both ends.
Second half was much better especially for viewing purposes as smack bang five-minutes into the 2nd half Travis Graham handed Ajax the lead with a wonderful goal, textbook finish as the coaches would call it. Low and hard on a wet surface.
That striked fear and anxiousness in The Brazilians as they continued to fight back with Zwane and Ntuli coming on and adding much attacking thump going forward.
But in the end Ajax held their nerve for a well deserved victory.

HALF-TIME!
0-0
Ajax and Sundowns head for the tunnel in what was a very tight and physical encounter. Let's hope Mosimane and de Sa open up their team to play a more attacking style.
Very conservative so far!
