Kwanda waiting on 'Downs

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns defender Kwanda Mngonyama is waiting on the club's management to clarify his future after demanding regular game time.

In the two most recent seasons Mngonyama was shipped out on loan to Wits and Maritzburg United respectively.

This season Mngonyama has not been loaned out but has said he expects regular game time. The national under-23 captain recently led the team to qualification in the 2016 Rio Olympic qualification tournament set for November in Senegal.

"Initially I was meant to report for pre-season with the rest of the players but due to my involvement with the national team I couldn't," Mngonyama told Soccer Laduma.

"So far, they have been talking to my agent. Pitso has never spoken to me about my progress. The only call I got was from Mike Ntombela who told me that they are still busy with discussions in terms of my future with Sundowns.

"I am still waiting to see what is going to happen, and once I'm done with the national team, I will go back to Sundowns."
