Krol in need of massive win

Johannesburg - Orlando Pirates will be desperate to bounce back from their Telkom Knockout heartache in a big way when they host Bloemfontein Celtic.

Sunday's league clash at Orlando Stadium will afford Bucs the chance to banish the pain of their 3-0 humiliation at the hands of arch rivals Kaizer Chiefs last weekend.

But Phunya Sele Sele will not openly accept being the punching bag for Ruud Krol's men, with PSL coach of the month for October/November Clinton Larsen confident in his side's abilities.

Larsen, who donned the black and white shirt from 1999 to 2001 is looking to push Celtic closer to the top of the table.

The Free Staters are fifth after nine matches with 16 points, just five adrift of leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.

Bucs will be without the services of Dikgang Mabalane, who has torn his adductor muscle. The right winger faces at least two months on the sidelines. Teko Modise or Tlou Segolela will deputise in his absence.

Defender Rooi Mahamutsa is serving a one-match suspension after totting up yellow cards.

For Celtic, Cecil Oerson (shoulder) is still missing and Johannes Mothlaping (broken leg) will be out for the season.

Krol cannot afford a defeat on Sunday as the Ghost grow restless over his tenure, while Larsen will want to build towards another coach of the month prize.
