Johannesburg - Orlando Pirates head coach Ruud Krol has bemoaned the poor finishing in the Premier Soccer League.
The Buccaneers suffered a 2-0 reverse to Mamelodi Sundowns at the Super stadium in Atteridgeville on Wednesday - a result that leaves them nine points adrift of leaders SuperSport United.
The Dutchman was speaking to the media after the game and he admitted that his team didn't look like scoring.
"That is always a problem is South Africa, scoring goals and it has been a problem for us this season we get two chances maybe we can score one of them. We get one chance in the second half when Terminator (Dikgang Mabalane) was one on one with a keeper, there he must score but he didn't," Krol said.
Krol also conceded that his players were caught napping by the Brazilians.
"The first goal we were sleeping as we could have done better. We were not in the match and we gave them too many spaces and we were not aggressive and we lacked movement. When you play a team like Sundowns you must have that," he explained.
Krol took off Phenyo Mongala, who was probably Bucs' player on the night but the coach doesn't regret it despite the loss.
"I wanted some fresh legs and these were the better players I could use," Krol said.
