Johannesburg - Kaizer Chiefs have dismissed speculation that Free State Stars boss Steve Komphela is set to replace Vladimir Vermezovic at the helm of the third-placed PSL side.
Rumours of the Serbian boss' exit are not new, however, they intensified at the end of last year following an apparent break down in the relationship with some of his players and a number of below par performances.
But Bobby Motaung has since claimed that all is rosy in Naturena.
He told Business Day: "We have not had talks with Steve or anyone for that matter.
"If there are any changes, that will be determined by us (Chiefs) and the coach at the end of the season. There are no plans to get a new coach (for now). The coach is here and he will be with us till the end of the season."
Criticism has been leveled at Vermezovic for his fiery coaching methods but Motaung is unperturbed by the negative press that emerges as a result.
He added: "No offence, we need the media to write whatever they want about us. That helps create awareness about the Chiefs brand.
"We love all the comment. In fact, negative comments actually make us stronger.
