Cape Town - Newly appointed Kaizer Chiefs head coach, Steve Komphela, believes the club's forwards are good enough to take the team to the next level.
Amakhosi unveiled five new signings on Tuesday, June 23 to bolster their bid to retain the PSL trophy next season and strengthen the squad for continental competition in the CAF Champions League.
Among the new signings were strikers Camaldine Abraw and Bongani Ndulula, who will compete with the likes of Bernard Parker, David Zulu and Siphelele Ngcobo for a place up front in the starting lineup.
The Glamour Boys were desperate for attacking reinforcements after none of their players cracked the top 10 PSL top scorer chart, with George Lebese finishing 11th with just seven goals.
However, with the addition of Abraw and Ndulula, Komphela is confident the club now has the attacking strength to compete for honours again next season.
"I have worked with Camaldine at Free State Stars," Komphela said.
"I know what he can do and I am delighted to have him here.
"Bongani, too, is a player of international pedigree who will give us extra options over the course of a long season.
"I firmly believe the additional fire power they bring to the squad will give us the impetus to maintain our successful trajectory and take us to the next level."
