The Team of Choice head into Saturday's encounter in good
spirits after recording back-to-back wins which has seen them move up to eighth
place in the league standings - level on 30 points with Gordon Igesund's side.
Added to that, Maritzburg recorded a 4-1 victory over
SuperSport earlier this season, and Matsatsantsa will be eager to make amends
when the two teams lock horns at the Harry Gwala Stadium.
Looking ahead to what promises to be an intriguing contest,
Komphela told his club's official website: "Without any sign of arrogance,
when they were regarded as on fire, we beat SuperSport United 1-4 in the first
round in their backyard.
"This to them is a grudge match. Both teams have 30
Points and are obviously fighting for a spot in the Top 8.
"We are reasonably desperate to make it three in a row.
Easier said than done but it is possible, we need to apply ourselves
Commenting on his side's top-eight aspirations, he added:
"The players are confident again and the two back to back wins against
Chiefs and Platinum Stars have given a great boost.
"The wins just confirmed or justified our performances
even during the period we were not winning.
"A testimony that irrespective of circumstances, one
has to stay true to the course.
"We are fighting nail and tooth to finish in the Top 8.
Something that has never happened in the history of this club."
