Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs coach Steve Komphela insists he thrives in pressure situations as his side gears up for Saturday's MTN8 final against Ajax Cape Town.
Komphela is on the verge of earning his first piece of silverware as a coach in South Africa and will send Amakhosi out at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Saturday with a view to successfully defending the title they won last term.
However, after taking over from double-winning coach Stuart Baxter, all eyes have been on Komphela, but the former Maritzburg United tactician insists that is something he has become accustomed to dealing with.
"I think I was worried differently because when I am under pressure I tend to speak slowly because I don't want to make mistakes," Komphela told Soccer Laduma.
"You know when I am under pressure I think properly before making my next move. I am always at ease when under pressure.
"So if that pressure will help me plan well for the game then I am glad it will help me win the trophy and on Sunday we can be celebrating. But yes there will be pressure and it will be the one helping me plan things properly."
Kick-off is at 15:00.
