Komphela: I hate stupid goals

Johannesburg - Free State Stars coach Steve Komphela feels his side conceded two "stupid goals" against Jomo Cosmos, but was pleased to see his players produce such a determined fight back.

Ea Lla Koto were left shocked two minutes into the second half as they found themselves 2-0 down following goals from Ezenkosi pair Sadate Ouro-Akoriko and Matthew Rusike.

However, Tshidiso Mosikidi pulled a goal back just two minutes later before Dove Wome smashed home the equaliser midway through the second period.

"I hate conceding goals and we gave away two stupid goals," Komphela told the PSL's official website.

However, the coach admits he could not criticise his players too harshly, given their battling spirit.

He added: "I am happy my boys where hungry and determined to fight back and I am satisfied with the draw. We just have to learn from our mistakes and improve from there."

The result left Stars seventh in the PSL standings with 29 points, while Cosmos remain in the relegation zone with 12 points from their opening 18 Premiership matches.
