Khuzwayo: We're ready for Pirates

Cape Town - Brilliant Khuzwayo has revealed that Kaizer Chiefs are ready to take on Orlando Pirates in the Carling Black Label Cup.

According to Chiefs’ official website, the goalkeeper has expressed his excitement at being chosen in the starting line-up by the fans.

“I feel great to be part of the team. I would like to thank the supporters,” said Khuzwayo.

“It is a privilege to be part of this big occasion, let alone playing for this colossal club.”

Khuzwayo has been exchanging gloves with Reyaad Pieterse during last season while Itumeleng Khune was sidelined through injury.

Khuzwayo made 20 appearances in both the Absa Premiership and Cup matches last season.

The derby match on Saturday, is the fifth Carling Black Label and Chiefs have won the tie once compared to Orlando Pirates winning it on three occasions.

The starting line-ups are as follows:

Kaizer Chiefs XI: Brilliant Khuzwayo, Kgotso Moleko, Siboniso Gaxa, Siyanda Xulu, Tsepo Masilela, Simphiwe Tshabalala, Yeye Letsholonyane, George Maluleka, George Lebese, Bernard Parker, David Zulu.

Orlando Pirates XIBrighton Mhlongo, Happy Jele, Tshepo Gumede, Siyabonga Sangweni, Patrick Phungwayo, Sifiso Myeni, Issa Sarr, Oupa Manyisa, Thabo Rakhale, Kermit Erasmus, Lehlohonolo Majoro.

The match will kick-off at 15:00.
