Johannesburg - Kaizer Chiefs fans can put their concerns to rest following the news that the injury goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune sustained against Jomo Cosmos on Saturday is not serious.
The Bafana Bafana keeper collided with a Cosmos player and was substituted in the 16th minute. Chiefs’ medical team rushed him off to Morningside Hospital where he under went a scan.
The Siya crew got in touch with Khune on Sunday, and he explained that he is feeling much better.
"I can walk and I think it was a bruise but with the way I am feeling now I can start training on Monday. I hope I will be okay by Wednesday for our next game," the Bafana number one said.
When Khune got injured Chiefs were leading 1-0 however the game ended 2-1 in favour of the Amakhosi who also missed a penalty. Chiefs play against Moroka Swallows at the Dobsonville Stadium on Wednesday night, August 17.
