Khune sorry for speeding

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune has apologised to the public following his appearance at the Lyttleton Magistrate court .

The 2013 South African Sportsman of the year was driving the Amakhosi sponsored Nissan Juke when he was caught driving at 173km/h in a 120 km/h zone in Centurion last Friday.

According to a Sowetanlive report, the “Spider Kid” said that he respected his position as a role model to the younger generation and humbly apologised for his indiscretion.

Khune was granted a R1 500 bail last weekend and is expected back in the Lyttleton Magistrate's Court in March to face charges of reckless and negligent driving.

The court case is scheduled to resume on March 6, a day after Bafana play Brazil in an international friendly match at the FNB stadium.
