Khune hints at final talks with Chiefs

Cape Town - Out of contract goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune has hinted at a final boardroom meeting with Kaizer Chiefs to discuss his possible return to the club.

Sport24 reported that newly-appointed Amakhosi coach Steve Komphela confirmed that talks have been ongoing between Khune's representatives and the club football manager, Bobby Motaung.

“I have been briefed about the meeting, but it’s not my place to talk about it. All I can say is that I’m happy with the progress so far," said Komphela. (Read full story HERE!)

Khune's contract with the Soweto giants expired at the end of June.

The 28-year-old Bafana Bafana goalkeeper revealed on Thursday to his 140 000-plus followers on Instagram that he is about to head to a meeting and asked for his followers to wish him luck.

“Be walking in a boardroom like this? Please wish me luck good people. I hope all goes well. GOD is Great," is what Khune captioned the picture.

Could this be the day Khune returns to Naturena and ends all speculation?
