Khune: Something will come up

Cape Town – Bafana Bafana goalkeeper, Itumeleng Khune, remains silent about his future and where he will be playing next season.

According to KickOff, the 27-year-old is confident his representatives will be able to strike a deal that all parties involved are pleased with.

“We [my agent and I] get to communicate everyday but I can't reveal what we've been discussing. It's still early days for that," said Khune.

'Spiderkid' opted not to extend his contract with Kaizer Chiefs at the end of the 2014/15 season.

Khune's deal expired at the end of June and is currently a free agent.

Throughout the season Sport24 reported that Mamelodi Sundowns were serious about luring Khune to Chloorkop and willing to give in to the goalkeeper’s high wage demands.

As Khune is not affiliated with any team, the former Chiefs number one insist that he will be ready when the right offer comes in for his services.

"I go to gym a lot and whoever comes and asks for my services, I'll be ready.

"It's part of the game - I guess I just have to be strong with the situation I'm facing right now, but something will come up in the coming weeks."

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
