Khune: I'm still a Chiefs player

Johannesburg - Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper, Itumeleng Khune, says his future at the club is out of his hands.

According to soccerladuma website, the Chiefs shot-stopper returned to action in his side's 1-0 loss to German side, Hoffenheim, but Khune, who is yet to agree to a new deal with Chiefs, says he is still proud to play for the club.

"At the moment I'm still a Kaizer Chiefs player, I'm proud to be donning the Gold and Black jersey, I'm proud to be competing for the number one, so I will see what my future holds," Khune said after the game.

"But at the moment it's not my hands, it's in the club's hands and my agent, they will sit down in the few weeks coming and they will decided my future."

Khune added that Chiefs gained a lot of experience from their 1-0 loss to Hoffenheim at the FNB Stadium.

"I just want to say thank you very much to all the fans, everyone has been supportive in difficult times, so it's great to back. he said.

"We did well as a team, it was just a lapse of concentration that cost us the game but I think we drew a lot of inspiration from this game , come PSL I think we will be on top of the game."

"It's such a great honour for a team like Hoffenheim to choose a big brand like Kaizer Chiefs to play against, we got a lot of experience from playing with them, so we can take this experience into the PSL and show what we are made of, they (Hoffenheim) know Kaizer Chiefs has given them a tough time."
