Cape Town - Mike Makaab believes Orlando Pirates can rely on Kermit Erasmus going into their CAF Confederation Cup final against Étoile Sportive du Sahel.
Makaab also commented on the current crop of Baccaneers, saying it would be difficult to compare Pirates' 1995 CAF Champions League winning squad to the class of 2015.
"Times have changed in football," Makaab told Vodacom Football.
"The game is now played at a higher pace and intensity so it is difficult to compare teams from different periods.
"However class of 2015 also has the capabilities of achieving greatness in Africa.
"The good thing about this Pirates team is that they have a wealth of experience in Africa and if I were to pinpoint a single player who could sway the title their way, it would be Kermit Erasmus, whose quality is undoubted and he has the ability to score spectacular goals - something that might be need in a tight encounter."
The renowned player agent further reiterated that despite their heroic display by defeating Egyptian giants Al Ahly amongst others on their way to the final, Pirates cannot afford to be complacent and underestimate Du Sahel who also eliminated another Egyptian giant in Zamalek.
"They have knocked out a giant in African football, Al Ahly, in the semi-final and this is sure to be a confidence booster ahead of the final," he added.
"However, they cannot afford to be complacent, as Étoile du Sahel are a top team as they showed by eliminating Zamalek.
The final is scheduled to take place at Orlando Stadium on November 21, and the return leg set to take place at Stade Olympique de Sousse eight days later.
