Katsande, who captains Zimbabwe, was in the vehicle along with Musona, Kalisto Pasuwa (head coach) and Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) president, Cuthbert Dube.

Dube was behind the wheel after he lost control of the car.

According to KickOff, the vehicle overturned while they were on their way to the ZIFA Village.

It is said that all four individuals were not hurt following the accident.

"There was an accident along the way to the Zifa Village but all the occupants who included captain Willard Katsande and Zifa president Cuthbert Dube have not been hurt," said ZIFA spokesperson Xolisani Gwesela.

Reports suggest that the national team were on their way to resolve their bonus packages as they handed Malawi a 2-1 defeat in their AFCON qualifying encounter.

ZIFA claims that they did not receive any money to pay the players and claim that the Zimbabwean government are responsible for 'The Warriors'.

"We are broke and the national team is the responsibility of the government. They have pledged to assist and we hope they will fulfill that promise," says ZIFA CEO Jonathan Mashingaidze.
