Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that a stolen car was found in the parking bay of one of their players.
A Toyota Rav 4, which was filmed on CCTV being stolen in a hijacking in the Johannesburg CBD earlier this month, ended up in the parking bay of the Chiefs player, who lives in a complex.
Kaizer Chiefs spokesperson, Vina Maphosa, told the eNCA website that the club would not identify the player until police confirmed his identity. He also said officials had cleared the player of any wrongdoing.
Police spokesman Lungelo Dlamini said the vehicle was found in Meredale, south of Johannesburg.
Maphosa confirmed that this is where the player lives.
