The reigning PSL champions started their pre-season training on Monday at Orlando Stadium and among some new faces was Bester, who according to Kadodia is still contracted to the Team of Choice.
Pirates have been chasing the Namibian striker since last season, and now having sold Katlego Mashego and Gert Schalkwyk to Golden Arrows, are desperate for a top striker.
Speaking to Football365.co.za, Kododia revealed they have not allowed the player to join Bucs and they want him back.
"The player is still contracted to us he must come back to the team," he insisted.
"I was not aware that he is training with Pirates until I saw a report on Monday. I had a call from their chairman (Irvin Khoza) that we can do a swap deal but they could not offer what we wanted, then I refused.
"The next thing he is training with them. Since then he (Khoza) has not come to me and the player must come back and honour his contract with us."
Kododia said as part of their swap deal, he wanted Daine Klate or Tlou Segolela but Pirates refused.
"Bring Daine (Klate) or Segolela (Tlou), you can't compare Bester with other players. If Pirates want him they must come to us and meet our offer," he concluded.
