According to KickOff, Kadi has been sidelined for 10 months having sustained anterior cruciate ligament damage.

The 27-year-old last donned Wits’ colours in the Nedbank Cup final but was taken off before half-time when his injury occurred.

“I was told yesterday after training; I wasn’t expecting it at all,” said Kadi.

“It’s been nine months of pain, hard work, faith and frustration but finally the day has arrived.”

Wits are set to play Mamelodi Sundowns in a much anticipated encounter at Bidvest Stadium on Tuesday, March 3.

Kick-off is at 19:30.
