The Sea Robbers, whose MTN8 Cup defence ended last month, have collected seven points from their opening four league games, most recently edging ten-man Platinum Stars 1-0 on Saturday.
Josephs, while pleased with the weekend win, feels there is still ample room for improvement.
"Look, a win is a win so we will take it," he told his club's official website.
"I have to admit that in the past couple of weeks we have not been at our best but this win will help us to regain our confidence and start building on a winning momentum.
"However, I feel we still have a lot of work to do before we can start celebrating.
"The league this year is going to be very tough. We cannot afford to be complacent or to allow the leading pack to get away from us at this point in time. We need to keep working hard and grind away the results.
"I think we could have taken advantage of the fact that Stars were one man down, but we struggled. That is an indication that we still have a lot of work to do," concluded the Bafana Bafana reserve keeper.
