Jonathan King calls for focus

Thohoyandou - Black Leopards defender Jonathan King is urging his team-mates to maintain their focus - without being concerned about their opponents - ahead of their much anticipated clash against Moroka Swallows on Wednesday.

Leopards will travel to the Dobsonville stadium to face the Dube Birds in the PSL and NFD relegation/promotion playoffs.

King said that their main objective will be to prevent Swallows from scoring in their clash.

“All we have to do is to keep our focus,” King told Sport24.

“We need to focus on playing our normal game without being concerned about our opponents.

“We need to focus on not conceding goals and most importantly, we need to play as a team.

“And by working as a team, we’ll get there because the team spirit is very key.

“Yes Swallows are hungry to retain their PSL status and they will be hard to play against.

“But I believe that if we work as a team and also keep our focus on the game, we’ll get the results we are looking for.”

Leopards are coming off a 2-0 win at home over Jomo Cosmos on Sunday and the full-back believes that they walked away victorious because they were more hungry than Ezenkosi on the day.

“It was a tough one and the game was a good one.”

“The game was not easy at all; Cosmos gave us a good run for our money.

“But we were the hungry ones on the day, we had more hunger than Cosmos and I think that’s why we won the match.

“I’m glad that our hard work paid off and we didn’t concede and now we are moving forward.”

Leopards v Swallows will commence at 19:30.
