Cape Town - Jomo Cosmos head coach Jomo Sono is looking to the Absa Premiership clash against Bidvest Wits on Tuesday to end their winless start to the 2015/16 season.
Ezenkosi began the campaign fairly well. They were unbeaten after their first three games all ended in goalless draws. It was a promising if unspectacular start, but a loss at home to Platinum Stars in the fourth league fixture turned an unbeaten start into four games without a win.
Cosmos then lost their next three games in a row, including being crashing out of the Telkom Knockout quarter-final against Maritzburg United.
The Potchefstroom-based outfit snapped the four-game losing streak with yet an impressive draw against defending Premiership champions Kaizer Chiefs last week, which Sono himself admitted was a big confidence boost.
However, Cosmos are still yet to win a competitive game this season and, quite shockingly, have only managed to score one league goal in seven matches this season.
"We are a hard-working team, we don't have enough quality players, so we have to replace that with hard work, and that's what we do," he told reporters.
"Getting a draw against Kaizer Chiefs while creating so many chances is what we have been doing over the last six games," he added.
