Jomo: NFD is hell

Cape Town - Jomo Cosmos head coach Jomo Sono says that he feels sorry for Moroka Swallows after his club got promoted to the PSL.

Cosmos sealed Premiership status following a hard-fought 1-0 win over Moroka Swallows in the final play-off clash on Wednesday, June 4.

The narrow win, thanks to Wiseman Maluleke second-half strike, was enough to put Cosmos ahead of Black Leopards on goal difference.

According to KickOff, Sono says that Swallows will find life difficult in the National First Division with the under-23 rule as they boast a host of “top professionals”.

"[Swallows] must try and vote to change the under-23 rule,” said Sono

"Because for them coming with all their top professionals [to the First Division], I can tell you now they don't have under-23's so it will be difficult for them.

"It's going to take them two years to groom under-23 players; it's hell there [in the lower division].”

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
