Johnson applauds clinical Dikwena

Cape Town - Platinum Stars coach Cavin Johnson hailed his team's clinical display against University of Pretoria in the Absa Premiership.

Dikwena rose to the top of the league table with a comprehensive 2-0 victory at the Tuks Stadium on Sunday.

Second-half strikes from Bongi Ntuli and Letladi Madubanya ensured Stars maintain their impressive early-season run as the only undefeated side in the league.

Johnson was over the moon with having recorded five wins and three draws from their opening eight games of the season.

"Like I said early on, it would be a hard game. I thought in the first half we didn't have enough chances although we had the ball," Johnson told KickOff.

"In the second-half, we analysed the fact that Tuks were just sitting, trying to catch us on the break.

"We had to encourage the players to move the ball quicker with a little more precision and we got the two goals.

"I am happy for the players, they really got stuck in. I have to give them credit, they learn from their mistakes. We keep going forward and I am happy with the players."

Johnson has also been named PSL Coach of the Month of September and October.
