Jali, Serero up for PSL awards

Johannesburg - The Premier Soccer League on Friday announced the award nominees for the 2010/11 season.

This season-end function will be held at the Gold Reef City on Sunday May 29.

This is a day after the Nedbank Cup final at Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit -- the final match of the campaign.

The nominees:

Absa Hot Young Player: Thulani Serero (Ajax Cape Town), Eric Mathoho (Bloemfontein Celtic) and Andile Jali (Orlando Pirates).

Absa Premiership Goal Keeper of the Season: Wayne Sandilands (Mamelodi Sundowns), Patrick Tignyemb (Bloemfontein Celtic), Hans Vonk (Ajax Cape Town).

Absa-lutely Awesome Goal: Knowledge Musona (Kaizer Chiefs) vs Mpumalanga Black Aces, Tlou Segolela (Orlando Pirates) vs Free State Stars vs Orlando Pirates, Thulani Serero (Ajax Cape Town) vs Mamelodi Sundowns.

Absa Premiership Coach of the Season: Ruud Krol (Orlando Pirates), Foppe De Haan (Ajax Cape Town), Clinton Larsen (Bloemfontein Celtic).

Absa Premiership Player of the Season: Jimmy Tau (Kaizer Chiefs), Andile Jali (Orlando Pirates), Thulani Serero (Ajax Cape Town).
