Igesund warns 'new' Chabangu
Johannesburg - Gordon Igesund has thrown a lifeline to Lerato Chabangu's ailing football career, but warned the troubled player he can easily take it away.
The Moroka Swallows boss signed the former Mamelodi Sundowns star until the end of the season after putting him on a rigorous training programme which he eventually followed.
The 25-year-old has been on a few trials with the Dube Birds, but would go missing during a spell. Igesund insists the forward is now focused on getting back onto the football pitch.
"He is in great shape now and is much fitter than when he first arrived here," said the coach.
"He has been working very hard and all he needs now is to become a bit stronger. But he is looking good so far."
And Igesund warned Chabangu that he will not tolerate any off-the-field antics.
"If he misses training and gets up to no good I'll terminate his contract. I was the only coach willing to give him a chance and I hope he doesn't mess this up," concluded the Birds boss.
