PSL
Igesund: PSL title is ours

Johannesburg - Moroka Swallows coach Gordon Igesund knows luck will need to be on
his side if the Dube Birds are to claim the Premier Soccer League title
this season.
Swallows are two points adrift of league leaders Orlando Pirates
and will need the Bucs to slip up in their last two matches, against
Bloemfontein Celtic at home and Golden Arrows away, and hope they do the
business against Platinum Stars at home and Maritzburg United away.
After saving the Soweto side from relegation last season, Igesund
immediately talked up a top-eight finish for his side this season, but
that talk went out the window when it became apparent that a title chase
was on the cards.
Igesund now sees no reason why his side can't complete their phenomenal turn around and claim the PSL title.
He told Business Day: "I think that this league title is meant for us this season and it is there for the taking.
"We have to be very optimistic and believe. Football is a very funny game and anything is possible.
"Look at it this way. Bloemfontein Celtic are peaking at just the
right time and I think they are becoming stronger and stronger.
"So let us make sure of winning our own games and then see what happens in the Pirates games."
Swallows next face Stars with Igesund adding in the New Age: "We
are left with two big games and we know that Platinum Stars is a strong
team with good players so it's going be to be a tough game, but we need
to win it.
"I've got to prepare my team right for this game and win at home against Platinum stars.
"We just have to go out there, have a good game and win. Our
approach to every game is with the same attitude which is showing all
our opponents the respect they deserve."
