Cape Town - Bidvest Wits coach Gavin Hunt was not 100% satisfied with his team's performance despite their 2-0 victory against Maritzburg United on Wednesday.
The university club outclassed the visiting Maritzburg, with Kris Bright and Sibusiso Vilakazi getting their names on the scoresheet at the Bidvest Stadium.
Wits were desperate to bounce back after the debilitating 4-2 loss to Mamelodi Sundowns last week.
Hunt has expressed the need for further improvement from his players as they turn their attentions to the MTN8 semi-final second leg against Ajax Cape Town.
"The result was the most important thing. The performance wasn't the best, but we created a lot of opportunities, especially in the second half," Hunt told KickOff.
"However, the performance was more important, especially after losing on Saturday, and trying to get a bit of rhythm into the team.
"As you can see the foreign players who have come in are not the fittest, so we need to work with them, but at the end of the day it's the three points and we get ourselves going again."
