Hunt eyeing more goals

Pretoria - SuperSport United boss Gavin Hunt says he is yet to find the right combinations in attack and is still searching for more goals, as the Absa Premiership season nears conclusion.

SuperSport head into the weekend action on the back of a lackluster goalless draw with Maritzburg United, and now shift their attention to Golden Arrows.

"We have to get the right combinations," Hunt said ahead of Sunday's fixture.

"See who's up and who's not and try to rotate as best we can, because the mental side of the game is what we need to worry about now."

Matsatsantsa have had to spread themselves across three competitions since the beginning of the year - the Premiership, Nedbank Cup and CAF Confederation Cup - and Hunt said the team could only do light work at training in anticipation of a tough run of fixtures as the season winds down.

"We've done nothing this week really, we've just trained very lightly and low-key," he said.

"We have so many games coming up, we can't train much."

United have a game in hand over fourth-placed Bidvest Wits and trail the Johannesburg outfit by a single point, and could move into the top four by the end of the weekend.

"The Maritzburg game was disappointing because that would have given us a nice boost to get to two points above (Wits) into fourth, now we have to do it the hard way because we have two away games," Hunt said.
