Hunt rues missed chances

Johannesburg - SuperSport United coach Gavin Hunt rued his side's missed chances following their 1-0 loss to Orlando Pirates on Wednesday night.

According to the Soccerladuma website, Hunt believes that his team was superior in most departments on the night, but says that their missed chances cost them.

"We should have won the game. We were the only team that tried to play. They just played the counter at home. They looked good when they broke, but at the end of the day - we have got to take our chances. More than enough chances, so I'm very disappointed," he said.

"We fought back well away from home, against all odds."

Hunt also had his say on the controversial penalty decision, though Andile Jali's spot-kick was saved by Ronwen Williams.

"If he gives a penalty, he's got to give a red card, so is it a penalty? The diving was ridiculous that was going on here.

"They fought hard, they worked hard - but it was against a lot of odds. When you watch football like this, this is one of the reasons why our national team is struggling."
