The Students last lifted a trophy during the 2009/10 season when they clinched the Nedbank Cup.
In the last three years, Wits have intensified their pursuit for titles after investing millions of rands into improving their squad, while also roping in three-time PSL champion Gavin Hunt to lead the objective.
Wits were beaten finalists in the 2014 Ke Yona encounter after a 2-0 loss to Orlando Pirates, but Mkhwanazi is convinced they will soon bring an end to their trophy drought.
"If you look at the number of games we have won it shows that we right up there with the best teams in the league," Mkhwanazi told Football411.
"We are still a new team under a new coach so we will continue to work hard and the titles will come.
"We have a coach who is a proven champion and we have a quality squad. Next season we will come out even stronger with more experience and more focus."
