Cape Town - Bidvest Wits coach Gavin Hunt says their MTN8 Cup semi-final against Ajax Cape Town wasn’t the best of matches as the weather conditions didn’t allow them to play to the best of their abilities.
Hunt said that playing against the Urban Warriors was another great test for them and was also glad they managed to equalize against them in the first leg.
“Well it wasn’t the best game of football due to these weather conditions you know," Hunt said after the match.
“It was the first leg of the 2 legged games. I think both sides really struggled but we came here for a fight.
“It wasn’t the prettiest game of football. Coetzenburg’s pitch is much flatter than ours you see and it was completely different to when we came for our preseason.
“On the other hand the team did play their socks off, even though Botes scored our equalizer, he knows he didn’t play to the best of his ability but we still have the PSL to focus on as well but it was a great test for us and we can hope to do better at home.
Wits and Ajax played to a 1-1 draw at the Coetzenburg Stadium.
