Hunt: Chiefs will win the PSL

Johannesburg - Kaizer Chiefs may only hold a four-point lead at the top of the PSL standings, but Gavin Hunt is convinced they are destined for the title this season.

Amakhosi recorded their seventh Premiership victory of the campaign on Saturday as they saw off SuperSport United 2-1 in Polokwane to maintain their unbeaten start this term.

And Hunt, who saw his Matsatsantsa side suffer their first defeat of the season, believes there are no teams in the PSL currently that can challenge the Glamour Boys on the field.

"They should win the league now - nobody will catch them," United coach Hunt told The Sowetan.

"I don't think any of the teams below them are showing any type of form."

Meanwhile, Chiefs coach Stuart Baxter admits there is plenty of pressure that comes with being at the top, but says his players are primed to continue their stellar form.

"We're top of the (standings), and we've got to live with that. It's always easier to be the hunter than the hunted," the Englishman said.

"We've got to keep telling people that we're not going to buckle. And if they want to take over top of the log then they're going to have to play for it."
