Matsatsantsa dominated for long periods of the crunch PSL tie at Peter Mokaba Stadium and at one stage had 60 percent of the possession.
However, they failed to create enough opportunities and conceded two goals against the run of play to eventually slump to defeat as Bucs surged to the top of the standings.
Hunt was adamant in his post-match interview that the poor officiating was too much to overcome for his players.
The coach saw United's Edwin Gyimah sent off after lashing out at Andile Jali in the second half, but was convinced Bucs striker Benni McCarthy should've been shown red as well.
Hunt said after the clash: "Shambolic display tonight. I don't have to tell you from who.
"We get a red card and they don't? There was only one team in the game and that was us. But we always had someone who was going to spoil it for us.
"It's worse than in the (African) Champions League. The players were dispondent. They were being kicked all over the place and Benni should've been sent off.
"We totally dominated, but what can you do?"
