Cape Town – Gavin Hunt has been a busy coach in the off season. He has already secured the services of Thulani Hlatshwayo and Kees Kwakman.
Hlatshwayo has been released from Ajax Cape town and since been a free agent before Wits snatched him up.
Kwakman hails from Netherlands and played for NAC Breda in the Dutch first division before he too became a free agent. The 31 year-old made 28 appearances and scored 3 goals while at Breda.
24 year old Hlatshwayo is looking forward to the new challenge and is confident things will be all fine for the newly Wits pairing.
“Things are working just fine. He (Kwaskman) is an experienced guy and I have played so many games (with him),” says Hlatshwayo Football411 reports.
“We both know what the coach demands. It is not like everything is going to automatically happen.”
“He is new; I am new in that position so we are both starting to get to know each other. Before the start of the season we need to make sure everything is ok,” he added.
Wits will partake in the Cape Town Soccer Challenge alongside Ajax, Mamelodi Sundowns and Chippa United, which is scheduled to kick-off on Friday July 25.
