Himoonde to go back to Zambia

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns defender Hichani Himoonde is one of the players that the team is planning to off-load, according to reports.

The Zambian joined the Brazilians two seasons ago and hasn't had any game time for the Chloorkop side.

Himoonde was twice loaned back to his old club in Zambia during that time.

News surfacing suggests that he will be off-loaded back to Zesco United in Zambia.

A source at the club told Sport24 that his deal back to Zambia is as good as done.

"Himoonde is going back to Zambia," the source said.

"He also wants to go and play because now he has lost his place in the national team.

"It's sad that he hasn't played any game since signing for Sundowns but he is a good defender."
