Speaking to Orlando Pirates' official website, the 24-year-old admits that he truly feels blessed to back in the Bafana fold and makes it known that his achievements could not have been accomplished without his Sea Robbers teammates.

“I guess all my hard work has paid off,” said the striker.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity and I look forward to making the best of it.”

“It’s been a long way back for me, but I am happy to be back and I would like to thank my Pirates team mates for helping me get here.”

“You know as a player you don’t play alone; it’s the people around you that allow you to show your true potential.”

“I am also grateful for the support I received in general from people who believed in me, that encouraged and gave me the motivation to keep on working hard.”

The former SuperSport United forward says he is eager to wear the Bafana jersey and knows that all the players will go out and give their best showing.

“In terms of the mood in the camp, I think it has been great. Everyone is focused and working hard,” Erasmus reveals.

“There is no greater honour for a player than to represent his country; and I am no different.”

“We all want to give our best for the team and our nation.”
