Johannesburg - Mamelodi Sundowns coach Antonio Lopez Habas insists he is not worried about the narrowing gap at the summit of the PSL standings.
Kaizer Chiefs beat the Brazilians 1-0 over the weekend, leaving them just one point clear at the top of the table.
With Amakhosi and fellow Soweto giants Orlando Pirates putting pressure on them, it would be understandable if Sundowns start panicking.
But they are doing no such thing according to Habas. "There is no need to panic and I'm not worried about Chiefs or Pirates," he said.
"I can only worry about the things I can control and not everything. I can control my players and that's my focus."
Sundowns have suffered two defeats in a row, but the Spaniard is still confident the PSL trophy will be heading to Chloorkop.
"We can't start panicking now because we lost to Chiefs. We still have a long way to go, until May. We lost a big game against Chiefs, but we didn't lose the possibility to win the league," Habas added.
"We are still the best team, because we are still top of the log and for me the league is a marathon. So far I'm very happy with the performance of my team."
Goalkeeper Wayne Sandilands also cooled talk of his side crumbling. He said: "Let's face it you are not going to win every game.
"We are going to go through a bit of a deep and sure we have lost two games in a row but that doesn't mean everything is lost now, that happens in football.
"It is tough because everybody wants to beat Sundowns, but we believe in ourselves and we will get the three points against Maritzburg United and push for the title," the stopper concluded.
