Cape Town - Platinum Stars defender Tshepo Gumede has admitted he
would be keen on a move to Orlando Pirates, as long as Dikwena are also
open to his departure.
Recent reports have suggested Buccaneers coach Vladimir Vermezovic is a huge admirer of the central defender, and could be planning a January swoop for his services.
And, while open to the idea of playing for the Soweto giants, Gumede refused to get carried away with any of the current media speculation.
"Obviously I have been reading the news and I am well aware of what’s happening and what’s been said," Gumede told Football411.
"What I can say is that there is a certain way of doing such things. I am currently a player for Platinum Stars and all communications must be done through them, then I can hear of it from the club and take it from there.
"At the moment there is nothing of that sort, maybe because the transfer window is not open, and that is why I am focused on my job at hand."
When further pressed on whether he would consider a move to Pirates, Gumede responded: "What I want is to play football, when football is involved than I am open to either option.
"I will accept what is offered as long as it is good for me.
"What I can say is, in a situation like that, I will have to look at things, like benefits that come with playing at a club like Pirates, and things that will affect me and the football involved.
"As long as things are done accordingly and the parties involved all come to a mutual agreement, then I will be happy."
