Cape Town - Gordon Igesund has confirmed that SuperSport United striker Bradley Grobler will be sidelined through injury for four weeks.

According to Soccer Laduma, the 26-year-old sustained a Grade two cruciate ligament tear in his knee.

“Bradley will be out for about four weeks. Two weeks of nothing and two weeks of training,” said Igesund.

“It’s a shame for him; he’s been working hard and playing well. He just wants to play football.”

Grobler has been progressing well under Igesund and netted two goals as well as an assist in his last two games for Matsatsantsa.

SuperSport have won three consecutive games since the former Bafana Bafana coach took over from Cavin Johnson. The Johannesburg side ply ninth position in the Absa Premiership as they seek to be in the top eight before the end of the year.

Igesund's Matsatsantsa will face University of Pretoria at Tuks Stadium when the Absa Premiership resumes after the international break.

Kick-off is scheduled for 18:00 on Saturday, October 18.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
